MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College men's ice hockey team upended visiting Bryn Athyn College in the backend of a two-game weekend series, 4-1, Sunday afternoon at Max Ulin Rink.

The Colonels, who owned a 30-25 shot advantage, improves to 9-5-2 after completing the series sweep. The Lions are now 4-14-0 overall.

After a scoreless first period, junior Billy Vizzo started a two-point day by scoring the game's opening goal on the power play at the 10:06 mark of the second period. The assists on the marker were awarded to freshmen Mic Curran (Arlington, Mass.) and Alex Ochterbeck (Dallas, Texas). Just 40 seconds later, freshman Levi Johnson (Vernon, B.C.) found the back of the net for the first time this season to extend the lead to 2-0. Senior assistant captain Lionel Mauron (Lausanne, Switzerland) capped off the frame with his seventh goal of the season at the 15:59 mark. The assists on the goal were credited to Johnson and Vizzo.

The Colonels tacked on its last goal 4:01 into the last period as sophomore Viktor Jansson (Stockholm, Sweden) netted his sixth goal of the season to push the lead to 4-0. The helpers on the goal went to freshmen Mike Pellegrini (Markham, Ontario) and Ochterbeck. Bryn Athyn got on the scoreboard at the 10:43 mark after freshman Jimmy Pollock (Sewell, N.J.) found the back of the net off a pass from sophomore Trevor Kleckner (Bethlehem, Pa.) for a shorthanded goal.

Freshman Vladimir Cibulka (Bratislava, Slovakia) recorded 24 saves to pick up his second win of the season. Sophomore McKenzie Chalmers had 26 stops in the contest for the visitors.

The Colonels were 1-for-7 on the power play, while the Lions went 0-for-7.

Curry returns to conference play on Friday, January 18 at Endicott at 7:00 p.m. Bryn Athyn will open a two-game home series with SUNY Canton on Friday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m.
