MILTON, Mass. – Curry College Hockey alum Jarrett Kup '18 (Rosseau, Ontario) has been re-signed by the Macon Mayhem of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) while fellow alumnus Ryan Warsofsky '11, a native of Marshfield, Mass., has been named as an Assistant Coach for the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kup re-joins the Mayhem after appearing in eight games with Macon at the conclusion of the Colonels' season. Over his four year career at Curry, Kup recorded 16 goals, 33 assists, and 49 points in 90 games. He was a Second Team All-CCC selection in 2017 and was a three-time Academic All-Conference recipient.

Warsofsky was formally introduced as the third assistant coach in franchise history for the Checkers, the AHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes. He began his coaching career in 2012-13 when he served as an assistant at Curry before becoming an assistant coach for the South Carolina Stingrays, the ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals assistant coach from 2013-14 until he was elevated to the head coaching position in 2016-17. During his tenure with South Carolina, Warsofsky went 88-44-10-2 and became the second-youngest coach in league history to lead a team to the finals in 2016-17 when he guided South Carolina to a Kelly Cup appearance. He also served two seasons as the Director of Hockey Operations for the Stingrays. During his collegiate career, he appeared in 71 NCAA games over four years at Sacred Heart and Curry College, posting 47 points (13g, 34a) from the blue line. Warsofsky then played a season of pro hockey in 2011-12, making appearances in Belgium, the CHL, and the FHL.
