MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College hockey team achieved a 3.7 team grade point average in the Spring 2018 semester, which is the highest ever for the program and for any team in Curry Athletics history. This totals eight semesters in a row over a 3.5 GPA.

Included in the achievement are 11 players with a perfect a 4.0: Seth Corwin (Wakefield, Mass.), Frank Cundiff (Oceanside, N.Y.), Ryan Fitzgerald (Cary, N.C.), Phil Kiss (Burlington, Ontario), Jarret Kup (Rosseau, Ontario), Alec Mono (Las Vegas, Nev.), Tristan Morin (Unionville, Conn.), Cody Murch (Raleigh, N.C.), Shane Tracy (Bow, N.H.), Anthony Trujillo (Toronto, Ontario), and Jordan Williamson (Okotoks, AB). The team also boasts 22 players with over 3.0.

At Commencement, two student-athletes were awarded Valedictorian for graduating with a perfect 4.0. A special recognition goes to Fitzgerald and Tracy for this amazing accomplishment. The hockey program has had four out of the last eight Valedictorians for the entire student body.

"This speaks volumes about the character and effort of our group," Head Coach TJ Manastersky said. "Grades like this don't just happen by being smart. It happens when you care about doing a good job and are willing to put in the work."
