Vankleef Signs With ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Washington Capitals and AHL's Hershey Bears, have announced the signing of forward Curry hockey senior Tyler Vankleef (Dundas, Ont.) to an amateur tryout contract Saturday.

During the 2016-17 season, Vankleef scored 30 points (15 goals, 15 assists) in 26 games. Additionally, he was a Third Team All-CCC Selection this past season. In four seasons with the Colonels, the forward played in 102 games and scored 67 points (39 goals, 28 assists).

South Carolina is home this weekend to face the Florida Everblades on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday, at 3:05.
