DeLong Signs Pro Contract with the Fayetteville FireAntz

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), announced Wednesday that the team has signed former Colonels' standout forward Ian DeLong.

DeLong, 26, is a 5'9'', 185 pound forward from Lions, Pennsylvania.  Most recently he played with Curry College in 2012-13 and was an alternate captain.  He also had a three-game stint with the Wheeling Nailers.

In three seasons at Curry, DeLong averaged over a point per game, netting 30 goals, 45 assists and 75 points in 72 games played.

"Ian is an extremely gifted offensive player."  Olauson said, "He competes every shift and sees the ice really well.  We're excited to have him sign with us."
