CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Eastern College Athletic Conference Interim Commissioner Steve Bamford announced today the ECAC Northeast All-Academic ice hockey team for the 2012-13 season. This marks the 12th year that the conference has named an all-academic team. A total of 63 student-athletes representing all eight ECAC Northeast teams earned this honor based on outstanding performance in the classroom.

Curry College seniors Ian DeLong (Kutztown, Pa.), Connor Hendry (Calgary, Alberta) and Brett Kaneshiro (Laguna Niguel, Calif.), junior Michael Lopez (Newton, Mass.) and sophomores Chris Mason (Monrovia, Calif.), Jordan Reed (Ajax, Ont.) and Braeden Ruud (Vermillon, Alberta) were all named to the team.

To be named to the all-academic team, the student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year at the institution, have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, and have competed in at least one-half of his team’s contests during the current season (a goaltender must have dressed for at least 33 percent of his team’s games).
