It took 36:54 minutes of play before a goal was scored.  The Leopards were the first to get on the board with just 3:06 left in the second period.  Junior Andrew Yarber (Livonia, Mich.) took a slap shot right outside the slot that sailed past the glove of Curry’s senior goaltender Joe Dawson (Woodbury, Mich.).  Yarber received passes from sophomore Sean McLaughlin (North Billerica, Mass.) and freshman Mike Cox (Marlborough, Mass.).  The Colonels answered back to tie the game 2:05 minutes later.  Junior Michael Sullivan (Newton, Mass.) netted his first goal of the season when he one-timed the puck past Wentworth’s freshman netminder Joel Miller (Calgary, Alta.). Sullivan’s tally was unassisted.

The first period saw both teams having just eight shots and only one penalty apiece.  Both goaltenders played solid throughout the entire game and into overtime.  The Leopards led in shots in the second 15-10.  The Colonels held a slight advantage in the third at 13-8.  Wentworth dominated the five minutes of OT outshooting Curry 6-0.  Dawson however came up with big saves between the pipes to hold Wentworth to just one goal on the night and held on to the 1-1 tie.
