MILTON, Mass. – Visiting Endicott College topped Curry College, 81-61, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action Tuesday evening in Milton, Mass. The Gulls improved to 7-5 overall and 4-1 in conference play while the Colonels fell to 0-11 on the season and 0-4 in CCC play.

After back to back three pointers from junior classmates Kamahl Walker (Worcester, Mass.) and Daquan Sampson (Germantown, Md.) to open the game for Endicott, junior Trey Jones (Mattapan, Mass.) answered with back to back threes of his own to tie the game at six in the first two minutes.

Walker responded with a jumper to put the Gulls ahead only for Curry to take back the lead with yet another three-pointer from junior Paul Preziosi (Quincy, Mass.)

The Colonels would battle to their biggest lead of the half (7) after a successful jump shot from sophomore Alex Paul (Brooklyn, N.Y.) with 11 minutes to go. However, five minutes later, Endicott worked their way to a lead although short lived. After Jones tied the game at 30, the Gulls went on a 12-4 run to end the half putting the score at 42-34.

The teams traded baskets to start the second half but Endicott continued to pull away and eventually gained their biggest lead of 20 with the final score of 81-61.

The Colonels were led by Jones who amassed 15 points before the final buzzer while adding three assists. Preziosi was right behind with 13 while pulling down a team-high eight total rebounds. Freshman Rael Handy (North Easton, Mass.) also put up double-digit points, finishing with 10.

Junior Chris Lipscomb (West Springfield, Mass.) led the way for the Gulls totaling 25 points and eight rebounds, a game-high and team second-best respectively. Sampson and Walker also put up points in the teens, (18 and 16 respectively) with Sampson recording a game-high ten boards.

Both teams return to CCC action on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., as Endicott hosts Roger Williams while Curry travels to the University of New England.
