Men's Basketball Knocked Off 124-57 by First-Place Nichols in CCC Action

MILTON, Mass – Visiting Nichols College drained 23-of-39 attempts from beyond the arc, topping Curry College, 124-57, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action Tuesday night in Milton. The Bison improved to 15-4 overall and remain undefeated in CCC play at 12-0, while the Colonels fell to 4-16 on the season and 2-11 in conference action.

Junior Gustave Koumare (Harlem, N.Y.) led all scorers with 24 points and recorded a game-best seven assists. Classmate Irving Eggleston (East Lyme, Conn.) and sophomore Jared Thompson (Scituate, R.I.) added 21 points apiece, while junior Christian Horton (Rutland, Mass.) and senior Matt Langadas (Sebago, Maine) chipped in with 14 points each. Eggleston also pulled down a team-high eight boards.

Curry was led by senior Matt Russell (South Portland, Maine) with 16 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Paul Preziosi (Quincy, Mass.) scored 14 points and recorded five rebounds, while junior Danny Brooks (Boston, Mass.) recorded eight points and seven boards.

Nichols returns to action on Thursday, hosting CCC rival Gordon College for a 7:30 p.m. contest, while the Colonels will travel to Gordon on Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. tip-off.
