Men's Basketball Falls at #1 MIT, 71-63
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Curry College Men's Basketball Team held a six-point halftime lead at top-ranked MIT, but the host Engineers mounted a second-half comeback and posted a 71-63 non-conference win on Saturday afternoon in Cambridge. MIT remained unbeaten at 4-0 while the Colonels slipped to 1-3.

Curry shot a blazing 53.6% from the field in the opening frame, and led the #1 team in the country by as many as nine points (41-32) early in the second half. The Engineers then went on a 13-2 run, taking a lead they would not relinquish at 11:05 of the second half.

The Colonels got double-digit scoring efforts from sophomore Antonio Jones (13), and juniors Lambros Papalambros (12) and A.J. Stephens (11). Senior Sedale Jones led Curry's efforts on the boards, pulling down a team-high five rebounds. Papalambros also dished out five assists.

For the game, the Colonels out-shot MIT, 51% to 43%, but the hosts made six three-pointers to just two for the visitors.

Curry returns to action on Wednesday, opening its conference schedule by hosting Nichols in a 7:30 p.m. contest.
