Men's Basketball Edges Colby-Sawyer, 97-96, on Day One of Amherst Tip-Off Tournament
AMHERST, Mass. - The Curry College men's basketball team defeated Colby-Sawyer, 97-96, on Day 1 of the Amherst College Tip-Off Tournament. The Colonels advance to the tournament championship game on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. against the host Lord Jeffs.

Curry built a 53-41 first-half lead, then withstood a second-half comeback attempt by the Chargers. The Colonels had four players who scored in double figures, led by senior Sedale Jones with 25. He was followed by juniors Lambros Papalambros with 21 and A.J. Stephens with 20. Sophomore Antonio Jones chipped in with 17 points. Sedale Jones was also the team's leading rebounder with six boards.

Curry shot 60.3% from the field in capturing its season opener.
