MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College and the Framingham State University football programs have been selected as the participants in the Second Annual New England Bowl which will be played on Saturday, November 18.

Framingham State will serve as the host institution as the game will be played at Bowditch Field in Framingham, Mass. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.

The Colonels, the Rams, and the host school are determined by the commissioners of the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC), Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC), the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), and the Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football).

Curry (8-2 overall, 4-1 CCC Football) enters the New England Bowl following a second place finish in the inaugural season of CCC Football and is playing in its first postseason contest since 2009.  Currently, the Colonels rank third in the conference in scoring offense (30.7 points per game) and number one in total offense (417.3 yards per game), while only giving up 18.6 points and 299.5 yards per game.

Offensively, the Colonels are led by the senior quarterback Alex Corvese (Cranston, R.I.), who was a five-time CCC Football Offensive Player of the Week Selection. Corvese led the league in passing yards per game (224.4) and was tied for first in passing touchdowns (22). The quarterback also led the league in passing yards (2244), completion percentage (65.8%) and ranked second in efficiency with a 147.1 rating. On the ground, Corvese averaged 51.6 yards per game to rank fifth in the league. He also led the conference with 11 rushing touchdowns.

Framingham State (9-1 overall, 7-1 MASCAC) comes into the New England Bowl following a second straight runner-up finish in 2017. The Rams are averaging 397.0 yards of total offense per game and sport the third-best scoring offense in the conference, tallying 33.4 points per game. On defense, the Rams have allowed an impressive 15.9 points per game and 293.6 yards per contest.

Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students and children. Children under the age of six will be admitted free.
