SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Curry College junior pitcher Kevin Jones (Pembroke, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Jones helped the Colonels take down nationally ranked powerhouse Salve Regina in a game two 3-0 walk off victory in extra innings. He came in for relief and threw four innings in the game where he contributed to the shutout. The junior gave up two hits but struck out two and walked only one to earn his first victory of the season. His pitching efforts helped secure the victory, which was the only time Salve was blanked the entire season.

Jones and Curry enter the CCC Tournament as the number four seed and will host fifth seeded Nichols on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
