SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Curry College senior pitcher Brian Burke (Swampscott, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Week for the sport of baseball. This marks the first Curry student-athlete from the baseball team to take home a weekly award this season. Additionally, Burke was named the ECAC New England Division III Pitcher of the Week. 

Burke pitched a gem in a conference win over Gordon on Saturday (April 15). The senior hurler allowed just three hits and one walk in seven shutout innings. He also sent 10 Fighting Scots back to the bench via strikeout.

Burke and the Colonels will return to action on Friday in a road contest at Suffolk at 4:00 p.m.
