2014 Baseball All-CCC Team Released; Colonels' Warren and Perez are Honored

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Student-athletes from all nine institutions that sponsor baseball in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) were represented on the 2014 All-CCC Baseball Team. In addition to the all-conference team, winners of five major individual awards and the team sportsmanship award were also selected. Voting for the All-CCC team and each of the major awards was conducted among CCC baseball coaches.

Endicott senior Tad Gold was selected CCC Player of the Year, while sophomore Gull teammate JJ Branch was named CCC Pitcher of the Year, and EC freshman Cam Farnham was tabbed CCC Rookie of the Year. Roger Williams' Sean Boyle was honored as CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Hawk mentor Derek Carlson and Endicott's Bryan Haley were chosen as CCC Coaches of the Year. Nichols College and Western New England University were the recipients of the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Twelve players were selected to the second team including Curry College junior designated hitter Matt Warren. Another 14 student-athletes earned honorable mention including Colonels' sophomore outfielder Philip Perez.
