Fitzpatrick hurled a four-hit shutout in the Colonels’ 2-0 victory over Wentworth in the CCC finale for both teams. The effort helped lock up the No. 6 seed in the upcoming CCC tournament for Curry. In seven innings, Fitzpatrick struck out eight and walked two.
Lundstrom posted a 2-0 record on the mound for the Colonels this past week as she did not allow any earned run to cross the plate in 14 innings of work. In a 6-5 win over Gordon, she struck out six, while only walking two. In a big 1-0 conference tournament victory over Eastern Nazarene, Lundstrom had a hand in 13 of Curry’s 21 outs in the game as she struck out 12 and recorded an assist. The Colonels will now take on the No. 3 seeded Western New England in the double elimination round of the CCC tournament.
Flaherty batted .538 (7-for-13) with seven RBI, five runs scored, two stolen bases, one double, and three home runs in a 3-0 week for the Colonels. In game two of the single elimination phase of the CCC Championship tournament, Flaherty had a leadoff home run in the sixth to take a 1-0 lead over Eastern Nazarene and eventually secure the Colonels moving on in the tournament. Earlier in the week, she went 6-for-10 in a doubleheader sweep of conference opponent Gordon (8-7, 6-5).
