Welcome to Curry College Sports Medicine!

The Curry College Sports Medicine Department's program delivers athletic training services to the college's varsity student-athletes. Services and care that is provided include, but are not limited to: injury prevention, management of athletic injuries, emergency care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. In addition, whenever possible, the department will strive to integrate education about athletic injuries so that student-athletes can be empowered to lead healthier, injury-free lives. The Sports Medicine Department is committed to the continuing education of its staff regarding technology and techniques within the profession of Athletic Training, as well as staying current regarding current NCAA policies and procedures.

Department Mission Statement

The purpose of the sports medicine program is four-pronged. First, to allow easy access to the sports medicine services so student-athletes will be assured of outstanding quality of care. Second, to encourage a philosophy of physical activity that places a high value on health and wellness. Third, to enable injured student-athletes to return to their sports as soon as is medically safe. Finally, the sports medicine department is committed to educating interns and athletic training students in both the art and science of practicing athletic training in an ethical and moral environment. Furthermore, Curry College requires the sports medicine staff to maintain the highest standards of care consistent with the National Athletic Trainer's Association/Board of Certification Code of Professional Practice and the credential statutes of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
