Steve Scott returned to the Curry sideline in 2016 as the team’s defensive coordinator after serving as the defensive backs coach under Skip Bandini from 2008 to 2010. He brings a wealth of coaching experience both at the high school and college level.

Scott’s previous coaching stops include Mount Ida College (linebackers coach), UMass Boston (linebackers and defensive backs coach), Whitman-Hanson Regional High School (assistant coach/defensive coordinator), Silver Lake Regional High School, and Plymouth North High School (assistant coach).

Scott was raised in Hanson, Mass., where he attended Whitman-Hanson Regional, playing under Coach Bob Bancroft. He then went on to play four seasons at Plymouth State College as an outside linebacker. He is a 1993 graduate of Plymouth State with a B.A. in Computer Information Systems.

Scott resides in Hanson with his wife Mary, daughter Sydney, and son Sam. He also works as an independent insurance adjuster.
