Coach Pappagallo is in year number five with the Colonels and serves as the team’s Wide Receivers coach and the Recruiting Coordinator for Connecticut recruits. 

The Curry offense continued to flourish in 2018-19 under the guidance of Coach Pap as junior D’Aundray Burcy and sophomore back Zach Levy spearheaded one of the top in rushing teams in Commonwealth Coast Football. The Colonels also featured one of the most prolific pass-catching tandems in juniors Nick Villanueva and Mike DelGais.    

Under Coach “Pap” in 2017-18, the Colonels scored 30.7 points a game in their 8-2 regular season campaign. The Curry offense was #1 overall in the conference and featured the league’s leading rusher and Rookie of the Year, Sean Amaru.

In 2016-17, Coach Pappagallo served as the team’s running backs coach and called the offense for the Colonels. Curry scored 33 points per game behind the prolific passing of Jr. QB Alex Corvese.

Prior to working with the Colonels, Pappagallo spent seven years as the Head Coach at Malden High School. Coach Pappagallo won the New England Patriots “Coach of the Week” Award two years in a row, was featured on the nationally televised Thursday Night NFL Game of the Week and won the Division 1 Coach of the Year Award in 2015.

In 2008, Pappagallo coached the defensive line at Framingham State University and was also the kickoff return coordinator. The Rams were # 2 in the NEFC in kickoff return yardage.

Coach Pappagallo was the Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach for Mount Ida in 2007 leading the Mustangs to over 30 points a game.

In 2006, Coach Pappagallo joined the staff at Stonehill College working with the wide receivers.

Pappagallo’s coaching career began with Malden Pop Warner starting in 1994 where he was both a coach and board member. He moved on to become the Head Freshman coach at Malden Catholic in 1999 and then coached both freshman & JV for the Golden Tornadoes of Malden high school before stepping up to become the Offensive coordinator for Malden’s 2004 & 2005 Varsity campaigns.

Coach is a native of Malden, Mass. where he lives with his wife Clare of 38 years. He has three sons: J.D., Anthony, and Dominic. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and currently serves as the Manager of Distributions Operations for the United States Postal Service in North Reading, Massachusetts. Coach Pap played his prep football in Miami Dade County as a slot receiver for Hialeah High School.
