Curry Athletics Participates in 2020 One Love College Athletics Challenge

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Curry College was one of 170 schools that took part in the 2020 One Love College Athletics Challenge.

The 2020 One Love College Athletics Challenge was held in honor of Yeardley Love and in recognition of the 10th anniversary of One Love's founding. The yearlong initiative challenged every college athletic program in the country to organize at least one One Love workshop to empower student-athletes to recognize the warning signs of abuse and teach them to build healthier relationships. At the end of 2020 the Challenge reached 34,743 students.

"The student-athlete community has supported One Love since day one," said Chief Program Officer Megan Shackleton. "We are truly grateful to every school, faculty member, coach and student leader that answered the call to spread this critical education to improve the relationship health of students across the country."

About The One Love Foundation
The One Love Foundation is dedicated to improving the relationship health of future generations. The nonprofit organization has educated more than 1.3 million young people through educational workshops, both in-person and online, by teaching them the signs of unhealthy and healthy relationship behaviors. One Love was founded in honor of Yeardley Love, a 22-year old college student whose life was tragically cut short when she was killed by her ex-boyfriend. Her family learned during the trial that her death could have been prevented had they recognized the signs of an abusive relationship. For more information, visit joinonelove.org.
