KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced their Team Academic Award winners Thursday at the high school and college levels to recognize exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2017-18 academic year.
A total of 773 soccer teams (289 men, 484 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2017-18 academic year.
Of that total, 191 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized. This is the first year both Colonel squads have achieved this honor in the same year. This is the men's fourth consecutive year overall and the women's first.
