MILTON, Mass. – On April 30, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted its annual Student-Athlete vs. Faculty Staff Basketball game. Student-Athletes from various teams were pitted against 14 faculty and staff members from across campus in a competitive basketball game.
The game was well attended and spectators were treated to highlight reel dunks and a competitive game that came down to the final seconds. One of the dunks even made some national attention. The Student-Athletes pulled away with a 74-73 victory. SAAC members were handing out t-shirts and hats to students who attend the game and participated in halftime contests.
"The Student-Athlete vs. Faculty/Staff Basketball game is a great way to end the school year. I hope this continues and keeps growing," said senior baseball student-athlete and SAAC member David Griffin (Hanover, Mass.).
"The game is a great way for the student-athletes to interact with the faculty and staff," said Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Chris McKeon. "I hope the game continues to grow to get more student-athletes, faculty, and staff involved as it can help more people on our campus become involved with athletics and our student-athletes."
