Women's Lacrosse, Men's and Women's Soccer Teams Participate in Milton Monster Dash

MILTON, Mass. – On October 29, members of the Curry College Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer and Women's Lacrosse programs volunteered at the 19th Annual Monster Dash 5K Race and Fun Run sponsored by the Milton Foundation for Education. This marked the sixth consecutive year that Curry College student-athletes were involved in this event and they were excited to interact with the Milton community.  All three programs have put an extra emphasis on academics this year, so tying into the Milton Foundation for Education made perfect sense.

The Colonels student-athletes completed a variety of tasks throughout the Monster Dash. The Curry student-athletes helped create a positive, fun-filled atmosphere, whether they were at the tattoo and face painting station, leading a group dance to help kick start the event or manning one of the three water stations along the course. The Curry women's lacrosse and men's/women's soccer student-athletes were willing to give up a Sunday morning to help in whatever way they could.

"On behalf of the Milton Foundation for Education, I cannot thank you folks enough for your assistance," said Will Korman, President of the Milton Foundation for Education. "What an amazing group of students you all have over there at Curry!! Everything went off without a hitch. Everyone arrived on time (no small feat on a Sunday morning). All of the students were engaged and truly interested in ensuring the event was successful. Thank you again for everything!"
