Curry College SAAC Hosts "Pay it Forward Day"

MILTON, Mass.- On Wednesday November 16, members of the Curry College Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) comprised of Athletes from teams all across campus ran a "Pay It Forward" Day. This was the third year the student-athletes attempted to spread some good will and smiles across campus by doing random acts of kindness and urging people to do the same.

In the morning student-athletes served free Dunkin Donuts coffee and munchkins in the Hafer Academic building to the delight of many faculty, staff, and students. The message was simple, have a great day and do something nice for someone else today. SAAC members handed out cards encouraging everyone to do something nice for someone else. The back of the cards gave suggestions on random acts of kindness people could do around campus.

In the afternoon a second group of student-athletes handed out single carnations to people on campus. Hoping to simply brighten someone's day. SAAC members also held doors across campus, complimented people and wished them a wonderful day.

Curry SAAC member Christian Mancini said "I witnessed someone pay for another person's coffee in the Hafer Café because they had received a flower earlier in the day. It was nice to see people spread the message."

The Curry College Student Athlete Advisory Committee is headed by Men's Soccer Coach Peter Mendel and includes team members from all Varsity sports on campus.
