Whittemore enters his fifth season as an assistant coach with the Curry College baseball program in 2023.

He brings a wealth of coaching experience to the Colonels and has helped numerous players go on to play collegiate baseball.

From 2015 through 2017, he served as the Head Coach of the 18U Texas Colts Elite in Boerne, Texas. He worked diligently to ensure that each outgoing senior had the opportunity to play collegiate baseball. Whittemore focused finding the correct fit for each player so it would be a good fit academically and athletically. Many of his players went on compete at top tournaments and showcases in the south, which are continually attended by college recruiters and professional scouts.

Aside from baseball, Whittemore has worked in the banking and insurance fields. From 2012 through 2015, he was an Agency Owner with Farmers Insurance in San Antonio, Texas. He also held three different titles at First National Bank from 2006-12.  

He also possesses high school coaching experience as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach/Head Freshman Baseball Coach and Business Computer Information Systems Instructor at Rio Grande City ISD/Rio Grande City High School from 2002-06. Whittemore also had a one-year stint as the Head JV & Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach/BCIS Instructor at McAllen ISD/Memorial High School in McAllen, Texas.

He also served a one-year stint as an Assistant Sports Information Director at the University of Texas – Pan American, where he helped produce promotional materials for 12 sports and was a key member of the game crew for select sports.

Whittemore obtained a bachelor of arts degree in Business Management & Sports Management from Huron University in Huron, South Dakota.
